Said el Amir is renown as an innovative dancer, master instructor and choreographer since over 25 years.
His in-depth education in Middle Eastern Dance, Arabic folklore, jazz dance, modern dance and contemporary ballet made him a worldwide sought-after instructor.
Using his dance creation jomdance — jazzorientalmoderndance —, Said teaches not only excellent dance techniques, but also feeling for music, expression and dynamics, zest for life and after all authenticity in dance. Knowing that the roots of Raks Sharki are based on its music, Said asked the legendary worldwide renown Egyptian Master Drummer Sayed Balaha to compose the music for his warm-up „Get Ready To Dance Vol. 3“.
Beginning with a continuous almost 15 minutes lasting warm-up containing all frequently used rhythms of Middle Eastern Dances, you will find all theses rhythms in separated tracks on this CD for practicing them in class. A gracious thus powerful and impressive dance routine „El Prince“ composed for Said el Amir's unique jomdance style is presented at the end of the CD. The highlight of your dance will be the fulminate drum solo „El Sultan“ with spectacular accents and effective combinations of rhythms.
