SUHANA / CASTANO

SUHANA / CASTANO

Castano

Since his earliest childhood Castano has been interested in the large variety of rhythm
instruments.

As a teenager he was taught playing the drums at the Music School Weimar and noticed himself very quickly that music would be his cup of tea in his professional future.

Castano kept improving his knowledge which brought him to the German rock group
`` Die Prinzen`` (`` The Princes ``) to Leipzig. There Tobias Künzel gave him additional training in using percussion instruments.
Life performances as well as lots of engagements as a studio musician followed and offered him a good opportunity to gather experience and to take his first steps towards a successful career in music.

The art of drumming on several continents has always been attracting Castano`s attention. For that reason he enjoys including the play on the djembe and the cajon in his repertoire.

Because of meeting the choreographer, dancer and present mate Suhana, Castano became acquainted with the huge spectrum of Oriental music. So he was getting closer to his Moroccan roots.

Castano likes qualifying within this module. Therefore he has often taken part in lessons and workshops with Egyptian teachers.
